"Tourmaline" is derived from the Sinhalese word "turmali," which means "unknown stones of different colours" and reflects the unique spectrum of colours found in this gemstone.

Green jade, the most popular variation of jade, symbolises growth, balance and harmony, and is believed to be associated with good luck, fortune and protection.
