Ruby ring with Granulated Band

Ruby Silver Ring with Granulated Band.

Often referred to as “the queen of stones” or “the stone of kings,” the ruby has a long, storied past of being held in great esteem by royalty. For centuries, rubies were worn as talismans, symbolizing protection and prosperity. Mongolian Emperor Kublai Khan was said to have offered an entire city in exchange for a sizeable ruby.

Rubies symbolized the sun and had various legendary properties; for example, the Ancient Greeks threw rubies into water to make it boil, and Burmese warriors kept rubies in their navels during battle, believing it would make them invincible.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR RING SIZE

•Decide which finger the ring will be worn on.

•Take a string and wrap it around the base of your finger. Make sure it's snug but not too tight - you're aiming to replicate a ring fitting comfortably.

•Using the pen, make a mark where the string crosses over.

•Use the ruler to measure the marked length of string in mm.

•You now have the circumference of your finger.
