Turquoise is one of the oldest gemstones used in jewellery and the Iranian turquoise is of the greatest quality and beauty. Natural Persian turquoise, not treated in any way is quite rare & less than 3% of the world's turquoise is untreated.

Turquoise has been mined in Iran for over 5,000 years and it is this turquoise that sets the quality standard for all turquoise.

The name turquoise in English, comes from a French word meaning Turkish because it was first imported to Europe via Turkey, but its origin is Iran.

Turquoise is one of Iran's national gemstone and it symbolises victory, triumph, and prosperity.
