“Anahita” silver ring with hand engraved mermaid on malachite stone.

In Persia, Anahita was the deity assigned to water, as well as fertility and prosperity. Anahita is a Protector of Women.

Malachite has been mined in ancient Egypt from as early as 3000BC. It was used as an eye paint, a pigment for wall painting and the colouring of glass.

Malachite symbolism has strong associations with travellers, in some parts of Italy, people wore malachite pieces resembling eyes to ward away the Evil Eye.

HOW TO MEASURE YOUR RING SIZE

•Decide which finger the ring will be worn on.

•Take a string and wrap it around the base of your finger. Make sure it's snug but not too tight - you're aiming to replicate a ring fitting comfortably.

•Using the pen, make a mark where the string crosses over.

•Use the ruler to measure the marked length of string in mm.

•You now have the circumference of your finger.
